Marketing & Communications Manager

Position Summary: 

The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for the management and day-to-day execution of all marketing & communications at Vertical Harvest Maine.  This position manages a range of initiatives across different MarComm disciplines. This person will manage all marketing and communications activities across owned/earned channels, brand assets, and digital marketing activities. They will also help execute Vertical Harvest’s brand expression, communicate our unique story, and inclusively amplify the voices of our stakeholders

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and/or maintain the marketing & communications infrastructure for the geographic communities around our Westbrook, ME facility
  2. Support engagement with the disability, culinary, social impact and climate resiliency communities
  3. Build and manage a network of ambassadors and influencers, including outreach, CRM/database building, and campaign creation
  4. Build out customer journeys within our CRM platform and automate marketing touch points alongside the coordination of campaigns
  5. Manage the integration of Voice of the Customer and survey analytics into marketing touch points.
  6. Manage the execution of all digital marketing efforts, including social media, owned channel media, and content creation. 
  7. Execute new marketing initiatives and paid campaigns while developing, deploying and measuring their effectiveness.
  8. Support & manage brand partnerships.
  9. Manage brand assets and collaborate to support cross-functional marketing and communications deliverables, including sourcing of input materials, graphics coordination, and quality control archiving/delivery
  10. Track, manage, and analyze social, owned, and website KPIs and OKRs
  11. Assess and improve marketing team systems, organization, and department practices
  12. Manage website updates and digital accessibility across channels
  13. Orchestrate staffing, marketing materials development and special events support
  14. Special projects as needed

Requirements:

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS: 

  1. Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communication, or related field(s).
  2. 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications, or related fields
  3. Practical design experience and expertise with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Conva, Hubspot or comparable programs a must
  4. Project management, account management or producer credit experience a must
  5. Experience managing customer journeys, CX, and feedback loops with an ecosystem of digital tools a plus
  6. Social Media Management, graphic design and/or copywriting a plus
  7. Demonstrated creative skillset and capabilities with an emphasis on project management and execution
  8. Data driven with a knowledge of critical marketing and communication KPIs, measurement tools, and methodologies
  9. Action-oriented with the ability to multi-task in an unstructured environment
  10. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  11. Excellent archiving, documentation, and organizational skills
